Staff Focus: Andy Claudio
Meet Andy Claudio, Common House Richmond’s Assistant General Manager. Andy's hospitality journey started over 20 years ago when he took his first job as a busboy at a small Italian restaurant down the street from his parents' house. In the time since he's taken on many roles from food runner and banquet captain, to maître d' and restaurant management. Being raised in Richmond, by way of Philadelphia, Andy has been blessed to expand his palate through great culinary scenes, and he's always a sucker for those great hole-in-the-wall spots too.
"My passion for hospitality is derived from my belief that serving people is a special act of selflessness that can rarely be achieved in any other occupation."
An avid Philly sports fan, you can find Andy hanging out with his son Isaac, cheering on the Eagles, and cooking up traditional arroz con gandules (Puerto Rican rice and pigeon peas). "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
